Registration & Orientation Information

North Tech staff and administrators want to extend a warm welcome to our new families, our congratulations to newly accepted students and say hello to our returning students! Although summer has just officially begun, it’s time to share upcoming dates and information to ensure all are ready for school when classes begin on August 13, 2019. This information will also be delivered to you via email and mailed letter.

ALL STUDENTS – NEW AND RETURNING – MUST COMPLETE REGISTRATION WHICH CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED ANYWHERE WITH INTERNET ACCESS

Because the required start of school paperwork for North Tech is submitted online using our Parent Portal through Tyler SIS, families can choose to complete registration at home if they have internet access. If you complete the registration process at home, you do not need to attend registration unless you want to take advantage of physicals being offered at that time (information below). At the end of this article, please see the instructions provided for completing the registration process from home.

If you need assistance with registering, we are offering 4 registration events during which you can complete this process.

REGISTRATION DATES

  • July 30 & 31 – 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • August 6 & 7 – 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm

*IN ADDITION, ALL NEWLY ACCEPTED FULL DAY STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND ONE OF OUR ORIENTATION SESSIONS*

NEWLY ENROLLED FULL DAY STUDENTS – ORIENTATION

  • August 7th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am OR 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Students and families will learn about our school culture, meet some of our teachers and administrators, review expectations, and discover ways in which they can be more connected to North Tech. For your convenience, you may also complete registration on campus following this event. Please RSVP for this event HERE.

HEALTH FORMS & PHYSICALS INFORMATION

Students who need health action plans, medication forms, or other services from our school nurse can find required forms for completion HERE. Please print forms needed and bring them to one of the registration sessions. Additionally, North Tech is pleased to offer student physicals on a first come, first served basis on:

  • July 31 – 9:00 am to 2:00 pm OR
  • August 7 – 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Prior to arriving for a physical, download and complete this FORM. There is no out of pocket cost, however, insurance will be billed for this service which is provided by the Institute for Family Medicine. **Reminder – all seniors are required to have completed the meningitis vaccination series prior to school starting in August. North Tech will offer an immunization clinic on August 15 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm for those students still needing this shot.

STUDENT PARKING

Students who wish to drive to North Tech and park on campus must complete a parking registration form which can be downloaded HERE. This form can be printed and completed at home and brought to school during either registration or on the first day of classes. Please bring a copy of your insurance card along with the $25 parking fee with the completed form.

DIRECTIONS FOR ACCESSING ONLINE REGISTRATION

To gain access to online registration, parents and guardians must complete the Parent Portal Access Form at www.northtechnical.org/Portal to receive a username and password. This link was also in your acceptance email from our Admissions Department. If your student was recently accepted to North Tech, there will be a slight delay between your completion of the parent portal and the delivery of your username and password. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your password, please call Mary Kozeny at 314-989-8521 for assistance.

Step by step directions for online registration can be found HERE. Parents and guardians of North Tech partial-day students, who may have already completed this paperwork for your sending district (Hazelwood, Riverview, Ferguson-Florissant, etc.), will still need to complete this process for North Tech as well. In addition to online registration, the Parent Portal allows parents and guardians access to their student’s attendance record, class schedule, and other important information needed throughout the school year. Online registration should only take 10-15 minutes to complete and does not have to be completed in one sitting as your progress is saved as you go. The Parent Portal works on most internet enabled devices including most tablets and smartphones. The web address for the Parent Portal is https://sdm.sisk12.com/ssd360.
