North Tech Closure Update
UPDATE 3/24/2002: Thank you to our families and students for their patience during this rapidly changing environment. In compliance with the St. Louis City and St. Louis County Stay-At-Home orders that began yesterday, North Tech will remain closed through Wednesday, April 22, 2020. As we continue to navigate this “new normal”, it is important to us that we keep you informed and engaged with our school community. Our building may be closed, but learning continues!
Our instructors are using a variety of tools and lessons to communicate with and teach their students during the closure. They are focusing on a variety of skills that do not require in-person instruction such as WorkKeys, employability and professionalism skills, certification preparation, academic integration lessons, as well as OSHA and other safety curricula. Additionally, program specific lessons, materials and demos are being shared via a variety of online platforms including Google Classroom, Zoom, and Google Hangout. Students are strongly encouraged to remain in contact with their instructors during this time. Our teachers will be available during normal school hours, 7:00 am to 2:30 pm, to answer questions, provide guidance, and otherwise assist students. Our online staff directory can be found here.
3RD QUARTER GRADES
All grades were entered on Friday, 3/24/2020 and will be emailed next week. Families with access to the Parent Portal can view grades there now.
‘All April events and activities are canceled. If it is determined an event can be rescheduled, those details will be shared as they come available. We are awaiting word from SkillsUSA regarding their postponement of state competitions and will update you as soon as possible. Additionally, we are continuing to evaluate options for our graduation ceremony and will keep you informed as decisions are made.

We will continue to notify you via phone, email, and/or social media as additional updates or information regarding our closure arise. As always, the safety and well-being of our students and staff will be our priority moving forward. We will make it through this extended closure together and look forward to having our students back with us as soon as possible. We miss you!
